Shutterfly Surprises the Center for Advanced Learning with $50,000!

Brooke Jackson is one incredible and very loving principal, and she was joined by teacher Johanna to tell Ellen all about their fantastic school! Brooke is Principal of the Center for Advanced Learning, which is a Title 1, charter elementary school in the South Central District of Los Angeles. The school has 360 students, 98% of whom receive free or reduced lunches. Many have very difficult home lives. The school is extremely loved by its community as it is seen as a safe place for children to learn and excel. The school is in need of many resources, but receives minimal funding.

 Despite the school's financial hardships, Principal Jackson goes above and beyond to ensure that the school is a happy and worry-free place for all of her students. Ellen's friends at Shutterfly were extremely touched by Principal Jackson's dedication to the kids, so they surprised her with $50,000! Shutterfly's mission is to share life's joy.
